Do try the massaging technique next time you make a raw kale salad and let me know if you notice a difference!Chocolate + Chardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01381624417651553020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1708886435557896439.post-13212448041623418542013-08-25T11:16:41.872-07:002013-08-25T11:16:41.872-07:00Our local Trader Joe's was offering taste test...Our local Trader Joe's was offering taste tests of a very similar salad this month. (Were they inspired by you perhaps?) The salad was delicious. I tried making it myself but did not know about 'massaging'. I did learn that I could 'marinate' the kale in the vinaigrette for up to a day, and have a spectacular, more delicate salad that was still crisp and fresh.

Ingredients:
Kale, torn into little pieces
Pomegranate seeds
Red onion, chopped
Feta

Dress with an orange-balsamic vinaigrette.
Orange Juice
Agave syrup
Dijon
Balsamic vinegar
Salt
Violet Dolcehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03945108949754377644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1708886435557896439.post-16709394108476117002013-02-21T16:29:30.153-08:002013-02-21T16:29:30.153-08:00Hi Kara! If you generally find kale bitter, I also recommend pairing it with something sweet, like dried cranberries or orange zest. You could steam it together with the cranberries (they get nice and soft/plump this way) and/or squeeze a bit of fresh orange juice and sprinkle a bit of zest over the leaves after cooking (or raw!). Hope you become a kale convert! ;)Chocolate + Chardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01381624417651553020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1708886435557896439.post-45307159203941030692013-02-20T09:00:17.594-08:002013-02-20T09:00:17.594-08:00Hi!
